Cleaning a cleaning tool may sound ironic, but it's actually necessary. Shark apex uplight duoclean vacuum cleaner is a great cleaning device with many unique features to provide the best user experience. But due to the self-cleaning function, users often make the mistake of not needing to clean it like other vacuum cleaners. This statement is actually very wrong. Not only can it make the machine reduce suction power and its lifespan, but also bring many health risks to the user. So, what is the self-cleaning feature and how do we clean the machine properly?

Self-cleaning brushroll technology
With this technique, a small brush is placed on top of the duoclean part of the machine. The purpose of this section is to prevent hair or bristles from getting caught in the brushroll and clogging the machine. However, it does not involve cleaning the inside of the vacuum. At the same time, it can only limit most of the dirt. Thus, if the number is too large, congestion can still occur.

3 Shark APEX UpLight Vacuum Reviews: Lightweight and Powerful
In general, vacuum cleaners must be focused on periodic cleaning of 4 things including: brushroll, hoses, dust bin and filters.
1. Brushroll
Thanks to the self-cleaning brushroll technology, the dirt stuck in this part is quite small for the Shark apex uplight series. However, you should still check for unexpected cases. To clean this part is quite easy, you just need to use scissors to cut this sticky hair along the path of the bristles to avoid damaging them. Then, use your hands and gently remove the dusty parts.
2. Hoses
You can use a flashlight or phone flash to shine through the length of the tube. From there, it is easy to detect dirt or foreign objects on the pipe wall. You can then rinse the tube again with warm water and let it air dry for 24 hours before using it. Thorough drying will prevent the machine from sticking and causing the machine to clog again.
3. Dust canister
This may be something many people know but still do not fully understand. It is true that each type of dust canister will have its own maximum capacity level that you should not exceed. However, you should still empty the trash when the machine reaches the base about 2/3 of the bi. Also, it's best to empty the cup after each day in order to limit health risk. Besides, you should also wash the entire bottle with warm water about once every 2 weeks to limit bacteria multiplying inside it.
4. Filters
Shark apex duoclean vacuum has a filter system of 3 filters. There are 2 filters on top of the motor and 1 post-motor filter. In particular, the post-motor one is a HEPA filter and needs special attention. These filters are all washable in warm water and reusable. It is recommended that you clean the filter at least once a month and change the filter, especially the HEPA filter, every year. This helps you maintain the machine's cleaning efficiency at optimal levels and provides the best health benefit for your family.
Final thoughts
Shark apex uplight vacuum is like any other vacuum cleaner, they all need to be cleaned properly in order to achieve optimal performance. This cleaning not only helps the machine maintain its efficiency and prolongs its lifespan, but also gives you many health benefits. At the same time, it also saves you costly maintenance later.
